no carbs after 3 pm??

So I am going to be starting a few things to jump start my diet again...since I am not losing right now and well am getting a little frusterated.... I went to my naturalpath today and she suggested that for the next week that I don't eat carbs after 3 pm...what...do you have for dinner than??? If anyone has some food that they losve to eat and ways to make it better let me know!
Also no fruit after breakfast...
So I am thinking....what?!? I can't do it but I must....So I am going to track and figure out different ways to cook veggies and have salads to make me want to eat them more....
More water too a goal.
more veggies
less carbs and none after 3pm...
oh boy oh boy...
And I like Jodi's idea about doing 10 more mins of exercise and eating 100 cals less in a day...so that too is going to come into my life now. I have started the extra 10 mins and it's great. I am still trying to do the running thing, but I just don't enjoy it....so I am in the 5th week still and just redoing it do feel confident to go on to the next set. I do enjoy though walking at a 15 incline on the treadmill at 4.2, and I find in 30 minutes I can burn almost 450 cals which I think is pretty good...I would like to start doing my work outs earlier in the morning and possibly again in the evening but we shall see if I can get out of bed....

Easter

I hope that whom ever still reads my blog has a Very Nice Easter and is enjoying family and friends!
We are busy with family this weekend and have enjoyed spring break. looking forward to the routine again.
This next week I am going to get up before the children do and get in a really good work out in, I have been lacking a little in the past little while not feeling like I am giving it my all. The running has been going ok. I am not a runner, so I am redoing some of the program to strengthen up in hopes to be able to go longer.
April Goal
To wake up at 6:30 to work out
To lose it, since I am staying the same and it is driving me nuts, I need to push past this and lose, I want have need deserve to be 190 by the end of the month.
Drink more water yet again, I do do well then forget a little, then do well again and forget! I have to stop forgetting!!!

Happy Easter!

So one day at a time is all I can do right Jodi! I am so happy your house sold! The stress is gone for now!
I think my biggest issue has been with the scale and the #'s that is says. I don't remember the last time I weighted in but I know it's been a couple weeks, when I cried because it was up to 197.6 (beginning of March) Which I didn't like. So today thinking it's been a long while I stepped on it again totally expecting to see that same # and guess what, I didn't!!!
We were at 195.6 on March 2nd
Today we are at 192.6 March 23 2010.
I will take it! so in 21 days 3 weeks I have lost 3 lbs, which is great 1 lb a week. It's hard to watch 1 lb at a time, so I think my next weigh in will be in April. Maybe I will wait another 3 weeks to weigh in a gain!
For the next 3 weeks, more water, more working out, more being happy!
My running has gone pretty good, I am in week 5 and will be doing that last run tomorrow then on to week 6! I have started yoga once a week and am enjoying learning. We have a new instructor so it's been fun to learn from the very beginning and know why you are doing something in a position and how to get there. I am going to re start the EA active program, I ended the new one a little bit ago and really enjoyed it. I am going to do the 1st one again.
I am going to steal away a few minutes a day to reflect and focus on the next day and maybe do some yoga at the same time!
Have a great one!

Sorry for the few that read, I have been off line for a while and well, no real reason. Staying the same weight wise, need a kick in the pants to get it going again...
My computer is down so I am using my hubby's older laptop and well, it's ok, but it's not mine....
I just really hope and pray that all my info on my other is ok and safe and I will still have it!
Let me know what keeps you going on your weight loss or in life and help me kick me in the pants!

It's been really busy and I have not had a chance to blog and well my computer is in the shop so I am using my hubbys! So today I have a few minutes to write and I can't say I have anything important to say. I do however need to get back to losing again. I am staying about the same and haven't really lost anything in a long while. I am not too happy about it. Does anyone have any ideas how to get your body jump started again??
Hope everyone out there is doing well and enjoying their Sunday!

Up and down

So I have been weighing my self too much!!
I was up at one point to 197.6, which I was really not liking the idea of....So I have been a little bummed....yesterday I did pretty good considering everything that's been happening and I have been doing! Just a little stressed about the gain, but knowing it shouldn't last...So even with watching another 1 year old yesterday and cleaning and stuff. I sat down 3 times alone, I know with 4 kids in the house I was surprised to be able to do that and drink a lot of water. I think that is why my weight has gone up in some ways, I am not getting enough, even though I love to drink it, I just forget. So today I was back to 195.6 still up from my last weigh in, but down so that made me happy since we went out for dinner last night...I was really not expecting to see those #'s. Happy I did, and it got me back to the motivation that I needed. I was on the elliptical this morning, had a great breakfast and is ready for the day!
Water is so important in your diet, no matter what you need to drink it! And get enough of it.
I got this from an article

Why Drink More When Dieting?

  • Drinking a big glass of water whenever you feel hungry and before a meal or snack fills the stomach briefly and makes you feel fuller and stop eating sooner.
  • Breaking down body fat and body muscle during weight loss produces wastes that must be eliminated through the kidneys. Drinking enough water is important to keep the kidneys functioning to remove these wastes.
  • Popular high-protein diets produce more waste products from digestion, let alone from breaking down stored fat. Kidney function is even more important when on a high-protein diet.
  • Drinking more water does not "flush fat."
  • If the dieter is drinking plain water, he/she is less likely to be drinking something with calories in it.
  • Drinking Water Briefly Increases Metabolism

Drinking 500 mL of water (a half-liter or about a pint) increased the study participants' metabolism briefly - for about a half hour. In that time they burned an extra 25 calories. That's about a quarter of a piece of sliced bread, or 5 M&Ms. The researchers theorized that most of the effect comes from warming the water in the stomach. In the male participants the calories came mostly from stored fat, in the women it came from stored carbohydrates. The paper was published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, December, 2003. It was conducted by researchers in Berlin.
So water has become a good friend of mine these last few days, since I forgot to post this. I am sick again, didn't run this morning and am hoping to feel up to it again tomorrow....

Thanks!!

1) I deserve to be the me 10 years ago before babies
2) I deserve to be healthy and love life
3) I deserve to want to have my picture taken again!!

1) I want to be me the skinner one
2) I want to be healthy and live forever...ok maybe not that long, but I want to see my family grow and grandbabies!
3) I want to be in pictures with my family!!

1) I know I can look like I did before
2) I know how to be healthy
3) I know I am HOT!!

This is my focus this week! To remember what I look liked 10 years ago and know I can do it!! Each day I am going to look at the old me and remember and chose the right!
